The Addictiveness of an Atmosphere

I just finished reading the article on coffee houses and I found it very interesting. Coffee houses have been popping up everywhere for the last ten years. I myself do not spend very much time at the local Starbucks, but you will see me there every now and then. The article really hits on some true points. The relaxation factor of Starbucks is definitely a reason people keep coming back. Where else can you go and sit around with friends for hours and not be bothered by the staff? If you try to hang out at a restaurant you will feel pressure from the waitstaff to leave. The only other place would be a bar, and that is only if you keep running up a tab. The local coffee house just has that very welcoming feeling to it.
